Tree Cutting Services Near Bossu Field in Woodland Hills

Acting fast becomes critical when an 80-foot dead ash leans across fences, a shed, and live utility wires in Cleveland’s Woodland Hills neighborhood. Saints Tree Service arrived to turn that looming threat beside Bossu Field into a clear, safe sky for the homeowner and surrounding neighbors.

The homeowner confessed, “I lie awake when the wind starts.” One glance explained why: brittle limbs had already dropped during spring storms, and the trunk now angled toward both the shed and the service drop. Insurance urged immediate action, so we planned tree-cutting services that balanced speed with care.

• Height: about 80 feet
• Obstacles: vinyl fence, metal roofed shed, overhead utilities
• Drop zone: narrower than 15 feet

Our lead tree expert tapped the trunk and heard the hollow thud of advanced decay. Core samples proved traditional felling unsafe. A lift path for a 45 ton crane and rigging points that kept wood swinging clear of fragile structures formed the backbone of the plan—an approach blending advanced tree care with the street level know how of a local tree company.

Once the crane settled its outriggers, the climber clipped into the ball and rose toward the crown. “Hold the tension,” shouted an employee over the radio as ground tree cutters steadied tag lines. The first 600 pound limb floated over the roof and landed softly in a padded drop zone beyond the fence.

• 45-ton hydraulic crane with 125-foot boom
• Class III polyester slings rated to 13,000 lbs
• Battery top handle saws for low-exhaust near lines
• Ground spotters wearing Class E helmets and radio headsets

Another crew member on a telescoping pole saw pruned small branches, preventing snags. That teamwork showcases how seasoned tree cutters and a professional tree removal service deliver calm, controlled progress instead of chaotic limb drops.

Many clients fear cranes inflate the bill. Our estimator explained that one well planned crane day trims labor hours and property damage risk, turning the operation into a form of cheap tree removal. Transparency sealed the deal for the homeowner.

1. Site briefing: Escape routes and utility shut offs were reviewed.
2. Measured dismantling: controlled lifts kept debris clear of gardens.
3. Debris handling: brush chipped onsite; larger wood stacked for the fireplace.
4. Final walkthrough: homeowner and foreman confirmed zero damage.
