Protecting Parma: Our Tree Removal Project

When trees pose a danger to homes and property, swift action is crucial. This case study explores a recent project by Saints Tree Service in Parma, Ohio, where we safely removed a decaying silver maple tree that threatened a homeowner's property. Our expert team utilized advanced techniques and our TEUPEN LEO13GT aerial lift to ensure efficient and risk-free tree removal.

The homeowner contacted Saints Tree Service with concerns about a large silver maple tree on his property. The tree showed signs of advanced decay and was leaning precariously towards his house.

"I was really worried about the tree," the homeowner explained. "It had been dropping large dead branches, and I could see the trunk was starting to rot. I knew it was only a matter of time before it fell on my house."

Our ISA Certified Arborist visited the property to assess the situation. The inspection revealed significant decay in the trunk and major limbs, confirming the homeowner's concerns. The tree's proximity to the house and deteriorating condition made removal the safest option.

The property owner knew he needed a professional tree removal company with the expertise and equipment to handle the job safely. He chose Saints Tree Service for our reputation for reliable service and commitment to safety.

"I did some research online and read reviews about different tree removal companies in Parma," said the homeowner. "Saints Tree Service had great reviews, and when I spoke to them on the phone, they were very professional and knowledgeable. I felt confident they could handle the job safely and efficiently."

Our team, led by crew leader Ricky, arrived at the property equipped with our LEO13GT aerial lift. This specialized equipment allowed our arborists to access the tree safely and efficiently, minimizing the risk of damage to the surrounding property.

"The LEO13GT is a game-changer for tree removal," explains Ricky. "It allows us to reach heights of up to 130 feet and maneuver around obstacles precisely. In this case, it was essential for safely removing the silver maple without damaging the homeowner's house."

The tree removal process involved the following steps:

1. Securing the Area: The team established a safe work zone around the tree, using cones and caution tape to keep bystanders at a safe distance.
2. Aerial Lift Positioning: The LEO13GT aerial lift was strategically positioned to provide optimal access to the tree while ensuring the safety of the crew and the surrounding property.
3. Controlled Section Removal: Our arborists used chainsaws and rigging techniques to carefully remove the tree in sections, starting with the upper branches and working their way down. Each section was lowered to the ground with precision, preventing any damage to the house or landscaping.
4. Trunk Removal and Stump Grinding: Once the branches were removed, the trunk was cut into manageable sections and lowered to the ground. The remaining stump was then ground below ground level using a powerful stump grinder.
5. Cleanup and Debris Removal: The team meticulously cleaned up all debris, branches, and wood chips, leaving the property clean and tidy.

The silver maple removal was completed successfully without any damage to the property. The customer was extremely pleased with the professionalism and efficiency of the Saints Tree Service team.

"I'm so glad I chose Saints Tree Service," said the customer. "They were professional, efficient, and most importantly, they kept my property safe. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing tree removal in Parma."

"Our goal is always to provide safe and reliable tree services," adds Ricky. "We're proud to have helped him with this challenging tree removal and ensure the safety of his home."
